Kangaroos are Australia’s best-known animals. They are native to the Australian continent, and to parts of Papua New Guinea. Most species are only found in Australia. There are over 60 different species of kangaroo. Kangaroos of different types live in all areas of Australia, from cold-climate rainforests, to desert plains, to tropical areas. Kangaroos are plant-eaters. Larger species of kangaroo usually shelter under trees or in caves. All female kangaroos have front-opening (bilgi yelpazesi.net) pouches, where they carry their young.
